I live in the UK and bought a car in Dubai for my big brother back home. Honestly, I was just going to send him the money to handle everything concerning its import, but something didn’t sit right with me. When I reached out to RL Royal, the quote they gave me was way lower than what my brother had told me it would cost to clear the car. I was shocked, realizing that my own brother had padded the price.
Long story short, they handled everything from the Tema port all the way to his doorstep in Aburi, sending me regular updates during the entire process.
There was a little mishap though, the radio in the car got stolen. According to RL Royal, such things are common at the port, but even with the extra money I had to pay to replace the stolen radio, I ended up saving a lot more money than if I had given the money to my brother.
Let’s just say, I love my brother, but I trust RL Royal more when it comes to things like this. If you have family in Ghana, don’t just trust their ‘estimates’. Let these people verify for you. 10/10.

I paid for a product test in January. By May, I still had no result. The constant “come back later” was draining me mentally. If you’ve ever tried FDA approval in Ghana, you already know it’s not for the weak.
At the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) office, I was told to send my product to the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) for testing. Despite following the process legitimately, during the period I was supposed to receive the testing results I received nothing. Rather, I was asked to bring another sample when I did a physical follow-up, which required lying to my boss to come up with an excuse to leave work early.
I live around Kasoa but work a 9–5 in Tema, so moving around for things like follow-ups is honestly stressful. I waited yet again as told, but I was told the results were not ready. I did some follow-ups by phone, all of which proved futile. In my experience, in Ghana, despite all the talk about digitalisation, physical presence still rules.
Transport alone was draining me, not to mention time off work, so I turned to RL Royal. They followed up at the GSA, kept track of everything, and made sure the process didn’t stall.
Without them, I honestly don’t know how long it would have taken.

I am Ben from Germany. I wanted to establish a food product, with a certain variety of millet as the main ingredient, but was struggling to do so due the specific conditions I required. I asked around the start-up ecosystem and was introduced to RL Royal. Thanks to them, I am living the dream of establishing my own allergen-free food product.

As a Japanese living in Sunyani, RL Royal makes my life easier by helping me shop for Japanese ingredients, since the only Japanese shop I know is in Accra. I send the list, they do the shopping, and they send items to me.

A friend of mine was traveling to Ghana for a short visit, and I really wanted a few local things (kenkey, garri, koobi… you know the cravings). But honestly, I didn’t feel comfortable asking her to run around Takoradi to buy those items and then wrap them. It just didn’t feel right.
Someone from my church in Maryland told me about RL Royal, and I decided to try them. Best decision. They packaged everything properly, no smell, no leaks, then delivered it to my friend in Accra the day before she left. When she got back, everything was intact and smelled like home. They really understood the assignment.

For four years straight, I shopped at an African store. Very nonsensical people, selling stale, expired and very expensive items with their full chest.
I remember my friends always telling me to try cargo, but I thought it would be more expensive. Last two years, I gave it a try with RL Royal and I am not going back.
For a family of five, this is wonderful. My kitchen is like a mini-African store. I get to eat fresh food. The beans tastes different. Everything tastes different. I remember always wondering why the beans I bought from the African store looked different after washing them and had a chemical smell.

I’m based in Toronto and needed someone to go check on a piece of land my dad bought years ago at Teacher Mantse, near Nsawam. RL Royal went there, took videos and spoke to neighbors. Unfortunately, it turned out that my ‘neighbour’s’ wall had eaten into a part of my land. Going to court was not an option considering my being overseas, but RL Royal helped facilitate the construction of a wall to protect what remained of my land, and got a caretaker, to whom I regularly send money via RL Royal. The peace of mind I have now, is worth every cedi.

I’m based in Germany, I was sending money every month to my aunty because, her son, my cousin, was supposed to be taking care of my dad after his stroke. I trusted them, but deep down, something kept telling me to independently check due to some horror stories concerning family and people in the diaspora. At some point, I decided to use RL Royal just to check in on him unannounced.
Honestly, writing this still hurts. The person they sent found my dad sitting on the porch in the afternoon, with a bowl of cold oats before him, and dried stool on his legs. He hadn’t taken his BP medication, and my cousin wasn’t even around. The RL Royal representative, God bless him, took my father inside, bathed him, got him lunch, and did a video call to provide evidence. I broke down in my apartment. He also waited until my cousin showed up hours later.
It later turned out that although I was paying for my dad to get physiotherapy three days a week, instead, he had been subscribed to the once-a-week subscription by my cousin. My dad has since passed, but I’m grateful I found out the truth when I did, and at least got to give him dignity at the end.
If you’re abroad and relying on people to care for your loved ones back home, please don’t assume everything is okay. Services like this can open your eyes and give you some control, even from far away.

I have to give RL Royal their flowers. I don’t even know where to start with this one, but if you’re abroad and building in Ghana, please read this.
For years, I had been sending money home to build a house. My younger sister was in charge of it. When I asked for updates, she’d send photos. I thought everything was fine. Then one day, I decided to verify using RL Royal. It felt awkward doing so, since I knew that decision would hurt my sister’s feelings.
Anyway, she took them to the site where they saw that the land and the building (foundation stage) existed, but when they asked her for a copy of the indenture (mind you, they had already asked her to bring a copy along with her), she didn’t even want to release the documents for proper inspection. She only flashed the first page of the indenture, just enough to show my name, but not enough to actually confirm anything. At that point, they knew something was wrong.
When I asked her about it, she started gaslighting me: “You don’t trust me after all I’ve done? You’re abroad enjoying life while I suffer here taking care of our parents.” I almost believed her. Almost.
I then paid RL Royal extra to get the coordinates of the land. They went back, got the coordinates, and cross-checked at the Lands Commission. The land was registered in HER name. Every single brick I paid for – legally hers.
When I confronted her, she didn’t even apologize. She just said, “I’m the one here sacrificing my life for our parents. When they die, what next?”
RL Royal later helped me secure another piece of land in MY NAME, and build a wall around it. When things get better financially, I plan on building a house, this time with their services.

Hi everyone. I am from South Korea. Two years ago, I started a small business exporting adult diapers to Ghana.
My first partner in Ghana was a man in Tema. He seemed nice at first. But later, he ran away with some of my shipment and also some of my money. I was heartbroken. I almost gave up.
Then a friend in Busan told me about RL Royal. I was scared to trust again, but I had one more shipment coming to the Tema port. I contacted them and said please, I need someone honest.
They assigned me an agent who actually kept me updated, helped distribute the products (even beyond Accra, including places like Suhum and nearby communities), and gave me a clear account of sales. No missing amount. No excuses.

My husband and I live in Glasgow, and we run a small private school in Apam. A few months ago, our school accountant, whom we paid very well to discourage any form of theft, called saying there was an issue with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), and honestly, the way he explained it just left us more confused than anything. Making matters worse, we were far away and not in the position to travel back to Ghana.
Prior to this, we had used RL Royal’s services to purchase an apartment in Ghana, so we were already somewhat confident in them handling this issue. RL Royal sent a team to our school, they sat with the accountant, reviewed documents, and discovered the problem was coming from our own accountant’s mismanagement, who was blaming GRA.
Afterwards, RL Royal got us a direct meeting with a GRA officer who helped us restructure payments, and file properly. Now the situation is under control.

As a Malian with an interest in studying at the University of Ghana, without knowing anyone in Ghana, RL Royal came to the rescue by helping me with the application, and securing my accommodation.
I went on to recommend them to a friend who wanted to study English in Ghana. They helped him in selecting an English school and in securing accommodation based on his budget before he left Mali.

My wife and I reside in Senegal. My wife was born to a Senegalese mother and a Ghanaian father in Ghana, but left at a young age to Senegal with her mother. After several years, we thought it best to sort out her Ghanaian citizenship, especially getting her birth certificate and Ghana Card.
We did not know how to go about it and were overwhelmed in the beginning. With RL Royal, we were able to legitimately go through the process to get them for her. This involved travelling to Ghana, but due to an unexpected issue, we had to return to Senegal before everything was ready. That part stressed us out, I won’t lie.
When they were ready, screenshots were shared with us, and the items were delivered by a courier service. Before RL Royal, we found one company that said they could help, but they quoted us almost 3x what RL Royal later charged us. RL Royal charged fairly, communicated constantly, and never made us feel stupid for asking questions.

My friend was having a wedding in Ghana, and I was one of the bridesmaids. However, I had an issue, I could not find anyone willing to babysit my physically challenged son for the two weeks I would be away
I had heard of RL Royal, but at the time I knew them only as a company that ran courier errands, so I did not see how they could help. With nowhere to turn, I contacted them and asked if they could find a caretaker for my son in Ghana while I helped my friend with her wedding preparations.
They agreed and found me a wonderful caretaker within my budget, allowing me to be an excellent mother and a good friend at the same time.

In early 2026, my daughter got very sick, and the medication she needed was too expensive and scarce. I got in touch, via a referral, with RL Royal to ask for their help in getting the medication which was relatively cheaper in Ghana. They even called me when the pharmacy had a different brand, to ask if I preferred it, and had it sent to me in Benin. I am and will be forever grateful for their level of care.
